Live Omnis Studio Training Is Back!

We are back with a new set of courses and a new strategy for delivering them. We are now offering Omnis Studio training online, using the GoToMeeting service from Citrix.

We are also designing and selling our courses on a daily basis - and a few are only half-day sessions. Many are clustered together in a comprehensive series, which could go on for a week or longer. But unlike a classroom course where we need to sell weekly access to a class to cover meeting room, travel and other expenses, students can register for only those days of a course they feel will be useful to them.

But be aware that there is a potential downside for students who skip the earlier classes in a series, so we are giving you fair warning: If there is important information in an earlier class that the student chooses to skip, we will not go back and fill in that information for the sake of that one student. This means that some people could become a bit lost if they follow the practice of just taking the last class or two in a series.

The Citrix GoToMeeting technology allows us a great deal of flexibility in presenting content online, as well as allowing us to give students the ability to share their desktops or interact with the current presentation for the benefit of the rest of the class. Audio content is available either directly on your computer using VoIP (a headset is an excellent tool to acquire for this) or over a telephone connection (long distance charges may apply).

Information on pricing is given at the top of the Course Descriptions page. Briefly, a student is charged based on the number of days of training purchased on a single invoice. The classes do not have to be part of the same series or even be given in the same week.

We still offer "private" on-site and online classes as well. Many companies and groups of developers find classroom training an effective way of getting the best Omnis Studio training available - and by bringing the instructor to them, they reduce the cost of travel, since travel expenses are only required for one person (David).
